Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Pharmacist at The Alexandria Staging Facility in Alexandria, Louisiana in support of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Detention Center.
This position offers:
- Full-time opportunity, 40 hours per week
- Part-time and PRN scheduling is available
- Consistent and predictable income
- Paid vacation and paid sick leave
- Full complement of benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, 401k and more for those working at least 28 hours per week on a consistent basis.
The Position will have the following requirements:
- S. in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree from a program that is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a licensed practicing pharmacist.
- Active TX Pharmacy License
- Maintains BLS
Key Duties Include
- Expert knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics and all management aspects related to the practice of pharmacy in a clinic/infirmary setting.
- Knowledge of and competent in understanding and communicating pharmaceutical nomenclature, including generic, chemical & trade names, Latin abbreviations, dosage forms, drug strengths, formulations & English-Metric equivalents.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling & punctuation to identify and correct errors to insure accurate copy.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
- Ability to utilize telephonic interpreter/translation services to complete assigned duties if not fluent in a language the patient understands.
